If you want to be able to both view and edit Pages files in Windows, the simplest way to do so is to use Apple's official web-based Pages app for iCloud. X Research source iCloud accounts are free, even if you don't have an iPhone, iPad, or Mac—you'll just be limited to using web apps, which includes Pages. Apple has 'Pages' and 'Numbers' which are able to work with, respectively, Word and Excel files. You can purchase and download both from the App Store in your Dock. Both have the ability to export files as Word and Excel if you need to send files to other people who don't have Macs.
For the iOS app, version 6.2.0 brings enhanced Apple Pencil integration that adds supports for improved palm rejection and one finger scrolling. “With these improvements, Notability offers the most fluid writing experience on iPad Pro, so customers can focus more easily on their ideas and notes. In addition, the update supports copy and pasting pages between notes, saving time.”
In addition, the updated iOS app is receiving some refreshed themes today for the spring season that users can find tucked under settings, and a new “define” button for non-English languages.
And Mac users are also getting the ability to copy and paste pages between notes with today’s update to version 2.2.0 of the Mac app. Other new features in the update include an “improved text box insertion on PDFs” and the same Define button for non-English languages that the updated iOS app received.
The updated Notability apps for iPad and for Mac are available on the App Store now.

Started with Macs in early 90's, initially used WordPerfect for Mac which was wonderful. But Corel bought WordPerfect in the late 90's and soon thereafter gave the Mac version the death sentence.
We converted to MS Word for our word processing, currently using MS Office 2004. Did not upgrade to Office 2008 because this version gave Visual Basic macros the death sentence. Office 2011 reincarnated macros in Word.
With the upcoming release of Mac OS X 11 'Lion', it is rumored that old applications that run via Rosetta in 'Snow Leopard', like Office 2004, will not run under 'Lion', another death sentence.
We have no desire to spend a fortune upgrading our computers to Office 2011 if there are other adequate alternatives. 'Adequate', for us however, means that macro support is something that we cannot live without.

I have iWork 09 but I cannot find where Pages has macro support similar to what is available in MS Word.
Looking for confirmation of Pages lack of macro support--I hope I'm wrong, but if not, any recommendations for word processing software, other than MS Word, which supports the use of macros.
